Hippity...Hoppity...

We took the boys to see the Easter Bunny today. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but apparently Griffin is a HUGE fan of the big bunny. When he first saw him, he started laughing and did not want to wait in line to meet him. He sat on his lap and they took several pictures and I got some with my camera. Funny thing was, just like the goats at the petting zoo, Griffin kept poking the Easter Bunny in the eye! What do you think that means??? It was so cute, and I was proud of my little buddy!

Cowboy Up

Lluvia, Heather, and I decided to take the boys to the rodeo on St. Patricks day! That's why Griff doesn't look like a cowboy, his little western shirt doesn't have green in it and I sure didn't want my baby getting pinched! It was a beautiful morning and the boys had so much fun. The petting zoo was great, and Griffin loved seeing all his favorite animals. For some reason he kept poking the goats in the eye...hmmm...but they didn't seem to mind. Then we moved on to the FOOD, best part right. They had SO much to choose from so we split a corn dog, curly fries and fresh squeezed lemonade! Delicious! I really wanted a funnel cake too, you know for Griffin to try, but he fell asleep on in the stroller on our way to get one. They had so much for the kids to do, and we all had a great time! Can't wait to go back next year!

Griffin, RJ, and Elijah all ready for the rodeo
Come here Mr. Goat
Lots of goats, pigs, and one huge Llama!
Loved eating his first corn dog...don't worry, he shared with Mom!
Silly boys had a blast pushing RJ's stroller around in circles!

Mr. Pointer

Where are the birds?
Where's the tree?
Where's Dada?

Griffin has found his pointer finger! He started pointing about a month ago but now points ALL the time and wants to know what EVERYTHING is! Some of his favorite things to point at are the fan, lights, TV, birds, flags, windows, clocks, EXIT signs, and many more. I love that he is so curious about the world around him, but he can be pretty demanding when he wants to know what something is and you don't tell him right away. :) Even the lady at the YMCA nursery said, "he sure does love to point"! They told me yesterday that he wanted to see the clock and name every animal painted on the wall. It's amazing to see how many words he already knows. We'll ask him where things are and he can point them right out. It's pretty cute!

Very Special Gift

Something Old
Something New
Something Borrowed
Something Red??
It's Griffin's first bike!
I promised to tell you guys the story behind this very special bike so here it goes. Jason was given this little red Schwinn by his very special Grand Daddy when we was little. The bike has since been passed down to more than 10 other family members, just few of them pictured above, as they all learned to ride. Until last year, the bike had fallen into disrepair: paint peeling, a missing emblem, seat cracking. Papa J, Gigi, Aunt Lauren, and Uncle B worked all year, without our knowledge, to bring this little bike back to life. There were trips to various work shops to sand and repaint the red and chrome pieces, shopping on ebay for several parts, and a brand new banana seat! The bike is just precious and all ready for the next generation of riders! We can't wait to see Griffin cruising the block on his special red bike, just like his daddy did! Thank you everyone for such a special gift!
