Zoo Day

We have been trying to soak up every last minute with Griffin by himself before Ella comes! Last Sunday we took a trip to the zoo with Gigi, Papa J, Aunt Lauren, and Uncle B. It really was just a perfect day! The kids had lots fun and so did we! We got to try out the new double stroller, and Papa J was so sweet to stroll the boys around. It fit through every door way without a problem, I love it! After the zoo we rode the train around Herman Park. Griffin LOVED watching the wheels and track, such a little engineer. Then we all went to lunch at El Tiempo...YUMMY! By the time we headed home it was almost 3:00 and Griff was worn out...mission successful!

Tricky Number 7

This is a little video we took of Griffin. They have been working on numbers at school, and he's been really into counting lately! Oh, and yes my husband has decided to grow a beard until Ella comes. I told him he's not kissing that baby girl until his face is smooth ;). Enjoy our precious little boy!

Showered with Love

A couple of weekends ago we were blessed to have a shower for Ella. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by family and close friends, and as I looked around I kept thinking how blessed Ella is to already have so many people in her life who love her! It really got me excited for this baby girl! There wasn't a fire truck, bug, or train in sight (not that I don't LOVE having a boy)!!! It was all about sweet, pink, frilly things! Ella's Aunt Lauren hosted the shower at her house and everything was just perfect. Aunt Leslie made the most adorable sweet treats (cupcakes, cake balls, dipped pretzels, and mini cakes). Aunt Mel flew in from Midland for the day and she even had a sick baby at home. Gigi and Mimi were there to spoil up their first grand daughter with SO many wonderful things! I was truly overwhelmed by all the gifts, decorations, food, and loved ones! Thanks to everyone who came and made this beautiful day one to remember...we love you all and can't wait for Ella Kay to meet you!

Cupcakes by Aunt LeLe...she really should go into business!

Mimi and Me...the baby carriage on the table was mine when I was a little girl. I pushed my cat around for hours in that thing and I thought it was the perfect centerpiece!
This is the stocking Great Grandma Bop made for Ella! She makes them for the whole family so it was super special to see Ella join in the tradition. It's absolutely beautiful!!!

Here's a couple pics of the clothesline the hostesses spoiled Ella with! They all have boys so I think they had just as much fun shopping for PINK!

34 weeks

I can't believe we're only 5 weeks away from meeting our precious baby girl! We are a mixed bag of emotions over here. We can't wait to meet Ella...see what she looks like, enjoy lots of newborn snuggles, and begin our lives as a family of four. On the other hand, we know what's coming and are gearing up for sleepless nights with a busy toddler in the mix! We are really enjoying these last few weeks with Griffin, and to be honest, sometimes I feel sad that he's not going to be the "baby" in the house anymore. I know it will be an adjustment for him. He has been such a sweetheart lately and loves cuddling with us. He's also talking up a storm all the sudden and says "Baby Ella" in the cutest voice. I took a video the other day so I'll try to post it soon. My parents are coming in town Wednesday and my mom and I are on a mission to finish the nursery, so I'll put pics of that soon too. Other than that, I'm just trying to soak up my sweet Griffin and prepare for my baby girl's arrival, life is sweet!
