Happy Birthday Cousins!

Carson and Lyndon turned one on September 13th so we headed to San Antonio for their birthday party the weekend before. My camera battery died a little ways into the party so I didn't get a lot of good pictures, but take it from me, it was an amazing party! They did a sock monkey theme and decorated with lots of vintage toys. There was a bounce house, roller coaster car, popcorn machine, balloon lady, ball pit, pinata, and lots of yummy food for the kiddos. Patty, Leslie's mom made the most adorable cake, I can't believe I didn't get a picture, but they cookies give you an idea. Griffin had a BLAST playing with his cousins and all their friends!

Wild for Colorado Raspberries!

First you have to hunt for the right bush...

Then you have your Mimi pick you some and shove them in your mouth...

Then you have to keep asking for more...

And shove those in your mouth too...

Put on your sexiest outfit on and run home...

So Mimi can make you raspberry pancakes!

First Day of MDO

Griffin's first day of Mother's Day Out went off without a hitch. I must admit I got a little teary when I looked at him in the car on the way to school. Since when is my baby old enough to go to school? We went in and put his things away. Griffin remembered the room from Meet the Teacher day, opened the door, and ran in to play. I barely snagged a kiss, and I'm sure he had no idea I wasn't right behind him. My friend, Lluvia and I had a wonderful day of shopping, pedicures, and lunch at the Galleria and before we knew it, it was time to pick them up! When I went in to get him, he looked up at me and went right back to playing...hehehe! Here I worried all day that he was sad, scared, or wasn't going to understand where he was. The teacher said he had a great day and even went to sleep on his mat without any help! It made me so happy to know we made the right decision to put him in the program this year! I'm looking forward to having a break two days a week, as I can really use the time to get ready for our Baby Girl's arrival!

Back pack from Mimi and Pops and Nap Mat from Aunt Lauren and Uncle B
Made his favorite breakfast, cinnamon mini waffles and fruit
He LOVES his nap mat and anytime he sees it he wants me to unroll it and he pretends to go to sleep. So cute!
Ready to go Mom
Playing in his classroom after I went to pick him up
We went to get a treat after school! Who doesn't love frozen yogurt? This little man (and his prego momma) can't get enough!

Meet the Teacher

Griffin met his teacher's at Mother's Day Out yesterday. He's going to Grace Methodist which is where we go to church. Mrs. Lisa and Mrs. Vickie were so sweet and just the type I would pick for Griffin. He loved his classroom and immediately started playing with all the new toys. He did manage to fall off the slide in the middle of Mrs. Lisa's talk, but he recovered quickly. There are five girls and five boys in his class and we know a few from the Y and of course his best buddy RJ. School starts next Wednesday, and I think we're both really excited!

These guys both loved playing with the kitchen!

IT'S A......

BABY GIRL!!!!
That's right, we found out yesterday that our precious baby is a girl! We couldn't be more excited! Everything looked great with the baby, she's growing fast and very high. It took them 20 minutes, 2 nurses, finally the doctor, and a panic attack from me before they finally found the heartbeat! AHHHH! Finally the doctor said lets try up high and she found the heartbeat right away, praise God! We had an ultrasound after and our little girl was stretching, kicking, and completely stole our hearts. It's been hard for us to imagine loving another child as much as Griffin but seeing our baby on the screen yesterday assured us that it is possible. :)
