Chatter Box

Griffin is a BIG talker!  He talks from sun up to sun down, ALL day long.  Even his sweet teachers make comments all the time about how much he talks.  Sometimes he says things that are so funny like this:
Last Saturday we celebrated Jackson's birthday at Clay's.  It's a fun outdoor restaurant with all kinds of animals the kids can pet and feed.  They have a huge peacock and it happened to spread it's feathers out right when we went to see him.  Griffin said, "Look mommy, that bird's dressed up like a Christmas tree!"

Sometimes conversations with him can only be described as exhausting.  Here's an example from today when we were coming out of Walmart when he was riding on the side of the grocery cart:
Me- "Griffin, hold on tight to the cart please"
Griff- "Why?"
M- "So you don't fall off in the parking lot."
G- "What happens if I do?"
M- "You might get a boo boo"
G- "But why will I get a boo boo?"
M- insert deep breath "Because you didn't hold on when Mommy told you to."
G- "But why didn't I hold on?"
M- "Griffin just hold onto the cart ok?"
G- "What happens if I don't?"
AHHHHH!!!!! Forget it!

And sometimes he is just plain sweet.  Like today when it was nap time and our conversation went like this:
M- "Griffin, I just put Ella down and now it's time for you to take a nap"
G- "But Mommy, now that Ella is sleeping maybe you and me can snuggle on the couch together for a little bit.  Does that sound like a plan Mommy?"
M- "It sure does sweetie!"
And that's exactly what we did!  I love this little boy so much and thank God for the joy he brings me every single day!
