Another Catch Up

Just when you thought we were past the season of first day of school pics...I finally wiped the dust off my memory card and downloaded mine.  The kids have had a wonderful start at Grace Preschool!  Griffin is in his third year there.  He's in the three year old class Tues/Wed/Thurs with Ms. Kelley and Ms. Kristi.  He is LOVING school this year and he's in the same class with his best buddy RJ again.  Ella started MDO this year as well and she's going on Tues/Thurs with Ms. Stacy and Ms. Tracy.  She LOVES her teachers and new friends and runs in her class squealing every time I drop her off.  The only thing she doesn't love is nap time so I have decided to pick her up at noon and let her nap at home.  The first day of school went off without a hitch and both kids went right in their rooms without a single tear...except for mommy.  Sending my baby girl to school was rough, but I'm not going to lie...three hours twice a week to run errands solo has its perks :).    

Last Vacation Post

 At the end of our vacation, we spent the day in Telluride.  My mom, Debbie, and I went shopping for a few hours and had lunch and then the boys met us later that afternoon.  They have a gondola that takes you up the mountain and this was definitely the highlight of Griffin's trip!  He even remembered it from last year and couldn't wait to ride it again!  Griffin loves machines, gears, factories, ect so this was perfect for him.  Uncle Trav and Daddy even sat in the wheel house with him so he could watch all the gears before and after our ride.  We rode the gondola up to Mountain Village where they have a free concert on the lawn.  The scenery is beautiful, good music, people watching, picnic dinner, and wine...my idea of the perfect evening.

Rico Trip Part 3

 I know this seems like the never ending vacation post, but when you take two kids to paradise for 12 days, you take a lot of pictures!  Don't worry, there's only one more after this..ha!

We have a neighbor in Rico, who has the most amazing organic garden.  He lets us come pick whatever we want and these were are some of the goodies.  Wish I would have had my camera to capture his garden, it is unbelievable!

 One day we went to Trout Lake to take the kids fishing.  It's always been one of my favorite places, picture perfect!

Mimi took the kids down to the river to paint rocks.  Seemed like a fun idea, but Ella was more concerned with throwing rocks in the river and Griff was pretending to work in a gold mine.  So, Mimi painted a rock..haha
