We went to Lake Travis for Memorial Day weekend. Saturday we got caught in a rainstorm which was no fun, but Sunday turned out beautiful. Griffin did great on the boat again. We went to a beach area, and he took a long nap on the boat cushions. Then we went to dinner at the marina and he heard his first live band. Griffin was such a little trooper all weekend, and we had a great time! I'm so happy he loves to be on the go, because it seems like we always are!!!

I can't believe my little boy is already 3 months old! Where has the time gone? We had a great time last weekend at my aunt's retirement party in Burnet. Griffin loved meeting new people and was so good at the party. He got to meet our family friend Travis for the first time which was very special for me. We also got to see Conner and Leslie, and the baby twins in her belly. She looks just precious and we are so excited for them. My mom kept Griffin while I was at work this week and it was such a blessing not to have to worry about him, though I missed him so much. We also tried out the jogging stroller and he LOVES it!!! I think he likes seeing out now that he is more aware of his surroundings. We're off to the lake this weekend for Memorial Day and after a long week at work, I am one tired momma in need of some R&R!

I thought I'd write some things down for my own record so skip if you want. At three months Griffin is:

- sleeping through the night :) YEA

- sitting in his Bumbo seat and holding his head up

- loves to sleep on his tummy

- sucks his thumb to put himself to sleep

- loves his crib

- laughs when tickled

- loves to stand up

- loves his new swing

- takes a bottle and still nurses like a champ

- coos at toys and people

- makes mommy and daddy so sad when he sticks his bottom lip out when he's sad

- melts our hearts with his precious smile

Back to Work

I have been a bad blogger lately because I started back to work this week. :( It has been SO hard to be away from Griffin all day, but I am very fortunate to have my mom and Jason's mom to help out these last 3 weeks. I feel so blessed that I will be be able to stay home and focus on being a mommy, the best job in the world. I'll try to post new pics soon!

I had a wonderful first mother's day. My family and friends made me feel so special and proud to be a mom. We went to the lake with Jason's family for the weekend and Griffin enjoyed the boat again. Then Sunday we went to Nana and Grandpa's for hamburgers and swimming. Griffin hung out with his cousins and they loved making him laugh. I didn't get a single picture with Griffin, but I guess moms are usually the ones taking all the pics. Jason gave me a beautiful bracelet with Griffin's birthstone and the best gift was a very sweet note he wrote me. I will cherish the memory of my first mother's day forever! I feel incredibly blessed to have such a sweet, healthy, and happy baby boy!

We decided to try out the Bumbo seat, and Griffin loves it. He was a little unsure at first, but has decided it's worth keeping. Aunt Lauren was over and we were cracking up at his funny expressions and the way he was sitting in it, he looked like a "fat man in a little seat"!!! :) We have also officially moved Griffin into his crib. It made us a little sad to take down the pack and play in our room, but he's sleeping like a champ in his crib and I have the video monitor right by my bed. :) I LOVE that thing!!! It amazes me how fast he's growing and changing. He's so much fun to play with and I sometimes get tears in my eyes when I see him smile at me. What happened to my little newborn baby?! Luke and Lindsy also came over Saturday night to grill hamburgers and hang with us. Griffin loves his cuzuncle (as Luke likes to be called) and aunt!

I'm dreaming of fishing with my cousin!!!

We are so super excited that Griffin is going to have a boy cousin to play with!!! Conner and Leslie found out they are having a boy!!! They weren't able to tell the sex of the other baby, but we are over the top excited about our little nephew! I love the thought that Griffin and his cousins will be close in age and be able to play together. We grew up with our cousins so close they are like our brother and sister, and I desperately want the same for my family. Congratulations Conner and Leslie!!!
